Job summary

Global Business Ser. 4u is seeking a Substation Physical Engineer in San Ramon, onsite. You will design mid to high voltage substations, develop electrical drawings, and ensure constructability per RFQ scope.

You will mentor junior engineers and lead project phases from design through commissioning within the electric utility sector. Ideal candidates have ABET‑accredited EE degree and 5+ years of substation experience, with proficiency in ETAP/IEEE standards and CAD tools.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited degree required.
• 5+ years designing substations.
• Experience with high voltage substations and utility industry.
• Familiarity with substation standards and construction practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate HV substation design drawings and layouts.
• Lead reviews of engineering work for quality and conformance.
• Act as lead Engineer or Engineer of Record for projects.
• Prepare construction drawing packages for bids.
• Support project proposals, schedules, and cost management.
• Coordinate with clients, field teams, and permitting activities.
• Ensure compliance with NERC standards as needed.
