Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred.
• Four years full-time wage-earning experience in substance abuse treatment.
• Current licensure as CADC/LPC/LPA in Texas or equivalent.
• CPR certification required and valid Texas driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of addiction severity index tester and substance abuse counselor II.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement substance abuse counseling activities in DWI programs.
• Coordinate with other departments for optimal resource use in compliance with MTC and TDCJ directives.
• Maintain offender records and submit reports and documentation as appropriate.
• Develop Individual Progress Summary for each offender on caseload.
