Job summary

SLB in Mobile, AL seeks an experienced Umbilical Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, manufacturing and delivery of subsea umbilicals and distribution equipment. This role drives technical leadership across cross-functional teams and client engagement, ensuring performance within budget and schedule.

The successful candidate will have a BS in Mechanical Engineering and 5–7 years of engineering experience, with subsea exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
• 5–7 years of engineering experience; subsea experience strongly preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of subsea umbilical systems, including cross sections and terminations.
• Serve as primary technical contact with clients and suppliers, managing technical deliverables and schedules.
• Develop manufacturing plans and layouts for efficient umbilical production; support manufacturing activities.
