Job summary

Endurance Energy Inc. is seeking a Senior Harness Engineer in Seattle to own the design and implementation of subsea power, data, and signal interconnections.

You will turn schematics into complete harness designs, select connectors and cables, and define shielding, routing, and termination specifications, generating drawings and BOMs. This design-ownership role requires coordinating with internal engineers and external harness shops, with travel to deployment sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of engineering experience designing wiring harnesses for complex hardware
• Strong understanding of connectors, cable construction, shielding, grounding, and signal integrity
• Experience producing harness drawings, BOMs, termination specs, and 3D CAD layouts
• Working knowledge of harness test methods including hipot, insulation resistance, and continuity
• Hands-on experience building and terminating prototypes
• Ability to perform basic PCBA or component-level electrical measurements

Responsibilities

• Own harness design for subsea deployment and test systems, from interface definition through released drawings
• Participate in and own technical trades balancing stakeholder objectives and system architecture
• Produce harness drawings, physical layouts in CAD, BOMs, and termination specifications
• Define the manufacturing plan for each harness: in-house vs partners, tooling, build sequence
• Help identify and qualify external harness manufacturers, connector and cable suppliers, and overmolding partners
• Define acceptance test requirements for continuity, hipot, insulation resistance, and pressure
• Partner with production on DFM, assembly tooling, and work instructions
• Troubleshoot harness faults and drive root-cause and corrective action
• Help shape harness standards and the supplier base as Endurance scales
• Investigate new technologies and approaches to solve requirements
