Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a senior harness design engineer to design, fabricate, and integrate rugged electrical harnesses. You will own end-to-end wiring, plan and develop harness concepts, and collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to meet stringent environmental and electrical requirements.

The role emphasizes hands-on design, production release documentation, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced defense tech environment. US security clearance eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years hands-on experience designing electrical harnessing for rugged applications.
• Experience working with harness manufacturers to deliver high quality products.
• End-to-end ownership of electrical wiring and interconnect systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, fabricate and integrate harnesses and represent the harness discipline on a project.
• Investigate, plan, design and develop harnesses to meet technical requirements.
• Research and procure connectors, back-shells, contacts, wire, shielding and cable construction.
• Develop harness block diagrams and wire diagrams for production release.
• Participate in design reviews and drive design decisions.
• Prepare harness assembly instructions and test procedures following industry standards.
• Guide electrical team on system requirements across engineering disciplines.
• Support new developments, active deployments, and customer hardware in a fast-paced environment.
• Concurrently manage involvement in multiple projects at various stages.
