Job summary
ORBIS Inc. is seeking an experienced engineer to support NAVSEA Team Submarine programs, including SHAPM, SSN(X), and related offices. The role involves applying science and math to develop economical solutions, designing improvements, and leading project teams in testing, production, and maintenance.
Requirements include 10+ years in submarine operations, 10+ years with DOD ACAT ID programs, a technical BS/BA, U.S. citizenship, and eligibility for a secret security clearance.
Qualifications
- BS/BA in a technical field required.
- 7+ years of engineering experience.
- 10+ years submarine operational experience (Officer or Enlisted).
- 10+ years of experience with DOD ACAT ID Acquisition Programs.
- U.S. citizen and eligible for a secret security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Apply theories and principles of science and mathematics to research and develop economical solutions.
- Design products and machinery and implement improved ways to extract, process, and use materials.
- Analyze the environmental and human impact of developed systems.
- Supervise testing, production, or maintenance to ensure quality and identify failures.
- Estimate time and cost to complete projects.
