Job summary

KBR is seeking a Subcontracts Administrator in Houston, TX to manage complex government and commercial subcontracts. You will develop solicitations, review pre-solicitation and award activities, and ensure compliance with policy, risk, and regulatory requirements while coordinating with finance, accounting, and business development teams.

The role requires strong organizational skills, flawless communication, and the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; 5–8 years of experience in subcontracts administration for a federal contractor or equivalent.
• Must be organized, detail oriented and manage multiple projects with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Able to develop and maintain professional relationships and contribute to a team environment with integrity and a positive attitude.
• Excellent MS Word and MS Excel skills; experience with Deltek, Costpoint is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute highly complex subcontracts; experience with TINA subcontracts and supplier management is necessary.
• Responsible for daily operation requirements and workflow of government and commercial subcontracts.
• Develop and prepare solicitation documents (RFP, RFQ, Invitational Bid).
• Review subcontract activities for risk and compliance at pre-solicitation and award phases.
• Negotiate price, contract specifications, delivery dates, incentives and other terms.
• Implement FAR, DFAR requirements related to procurement.
• Prepare documentation summary and cost/price analysis.
• Prepare source selection statements and other required file documentation.
• Protect the company’s interests and ensure compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
• Review and administer subcontracts; collect end-user feedback and propose corrective actions.
• Manage modifications and change orders in support of customer demands.
• Participate in bid and proposal activities including data calls and pricing with multiple departments.
• Analyze and resolve technical and administrative subcontract problems.
• Regular interaction with finance, accounting, business development and senior management.
