Job summary

LMI Government Consulting seeks a senior Subcontracts Manager to own end-to-end lifecycle management for government programs in Tysons, VA. You will drive rapid procurement, ensure audit readiness, and coordinate across program management, engineering, and external suppliers.

Ideal candidates bring 12+ years of government contracting experience, strong FAR/DFARS expertise, and proficiency with Deltek Costpoint and ERP systems, while maintaining a focus on compliance and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Business, Supply Chain Management, Contracts or related field.
• Minimum 12 years’ experience in government subcontracts administration, procurement, or sourcing.
• Strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS and federal regulations.
• Experience with Deltek Costpoint or similar ERP systems.
• Ability to perform complex cost/price analysis and supplier evaluations.

Responsibilities

• Administer full lifecycle of subcontracts and purchase orders from solicitation to closeout.
• Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, and internal policies for audit readiness.
• Liaise between internal teams and external suppliers to meet urgent needs.
• Lead RFQ development, solicitations, and supplier selection for mission-critical work.
• Identify and mitigate procurement risks, including supply chain disruptions.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and licensing to support program timelines.
• Procure materials and services aligned with production schedules.
• Draft and negotiate subcontract terms, data rights, and IP considerations.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and address issues to sustain support.
• Maintain procurement documentation for audits and regulatory reviews.
