Job summary

Maximus in Columbus, OH is seeking a strategic Subcontracts leader to manage a team of subcontract specialists, overseeing the full lifecycle of awards from solicitation through closeout. You will partner with proposals, operations, and compliance teams, steer negotiations, and mentor junior staff while maintaining rigorous documentation and performance tracking.

The role requires strong FAR/DFARS knowledge, the ability to influence across matrixed groups, and the capacity to translate business

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Extensive knowledge of subcontract awards and administration.
• Strong FAR/DFARS compliance understanding.
• Experience in Defense, National Security, or Intelligence sectors preferred.
• ERP and CLM systems experience (Coupa/Costpoint, CLM, MS Office).

Responsibilities

• Oversee full lifecycle subcontractor performance from proposal to closeout.
• Develop and drive subcontracting strategies across portfolios.
• Lead negotiations on terms, pricing, and schedules.
• Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS and company policies.
• Manage data in internal systems and subcontract files.
