Job summary

MAXIMUS is seeking a senior-level Subcontracts professional to manage subcontract awards, task orders, and modifications in compliance with FAR/DFARS and Maximus policies. You will monitor performance, resolve complex issues, and collaborate with project managers, procurement, and finance to align strategies with project goals.

The role requires 7+ years of experience in subcontracts, strong CPSR and regulatory knowledge, and excellence in communication and leadership within a matrixed

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field and 7+ years of experience.
• Experience managing subcontracts under Prime contracts (Cost Reimbursable, Firm Fixed Price, Time & Material).
• Experience with FAR/DFARS, NDA, TA best practices, CPSR compliance.
• Proficient with ERP/CLM systems; analytics and reporting preferred.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with minimal oversight.
• Experience supporting Federal Civilian and/or DoD programs.
• Significant CPSR policy experience, audits, and robust documentation.
• Cross-functional experience (operations or business development) preferred.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Compile, analyze, and maintain subcontract data and historical documentation.
• Identify and resolve complex subcontract issues independently with stakeholders as needed.
• Prepare and administer subcontract awards, task orders and modifications per government regulations and Maximus policies.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and address disputes, discrepancies, and performance issues.
• Evaluate subcontractor proposals based on pricing, capabilities, compliance, and performance history.
• Collaborate with project managers, procurement, and finance to align strategies with project objectives.
• Represent the company with subcontractors, suppliers, and government representatives to support goals.
• Work with teams to align subcontracting strategies with overall objectives.
• Act as a resource/subject matter expert for knowledge sharing and training.
