Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) seeks a seasoned Subcontract Administrator to provide procurement support, evaluate bids, and manage complex subcontracts. You will negotiate terms, ensure compliance with company policy, and advise on strategic contractual matters across multiple business units.

The role requires leadership in negotiating non-disclosure and teaming agreements, awareness of regulatory changes, and the ability to train staff. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration with emphasis in supply chain management, contract administration, or related discipline, plus 10+ years of experience.
• Comprehensive understanding of acquisition principles, theories, concepts, and regulations.
• Ability to counsel management, lead in developing new concepts, and coordinate multiple work phases.
• Customer focus with ability to develop innovative solutions; strong written and verbal communication; leadership.
• Working knowledge of SAP is desirable.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team; travel as required.
• Professional certification in subcontract administration is desired.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, analyzes and evaluates bids and proposals to meet policy and procedures.
• Identifies subcontract issues and leads development of solutions.
• Leads negotiation and modification of standard and non-standard subcontracts.
• Reviews drafts and negotiates terms of non-disclosure and teaming agreements.
• Advises management on contractual rights and obligations and interprets terms.
• Represents the organization as primary subcontract administrator on assigned subcontracts.
• Maintains awareness of regulatory changes and their impact on subcontracts.
• Provides direction and training to assigned staff.
• Travel and extended hours as required.
