Job summary

Qualifications

• Three years of professional student services experience; master's may substitute for one year.
• Knowledge of advising principles, FERPA, and higher education regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to build rapport with diverse students.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic academic advising to first‑ and second‑year students.
• Develop individualized academic plans and guide students through degree requirements.
• Monitor progress using advising tools and implement timely interventions.
• Design and deliver workshops and programming for student transition and engagement.
• Refer students to campus resources and coordinate referrals as needed.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff to support student success initiatives.
• Assist with petitions, academic standing issues, and schedule changes.
• Support departmental initiatives aimed at improving student retention.
