Job summary

University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Senior Student Program Coordinator in the Cockrell School of Engineering to plan and execute programs that enhance educational opportunities for engineering students, including Ramshorn Scholars. You will advise students, coordinate first-year activities, and contribute to campus events and collaborations within Engineering Student Services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and five years of experience coordinating student programs with college students.
• Commitment to working with and supporting undergraduate students and families from diverse backgrounds.
• High energy and ability to work in teams with strong written, verbal and presentation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with students, families, faculty and staff.
• Experience with databases, spreadsheets and presentation materials; ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director with Ramshorn Scholars Program and liaison for Cockrell School.
• Implement first-year programming, hire/train Ramshorn peer Coaches and Managers.
• Conduct routine advising, schedule changes, withdrawals, and appeals.
• Plan Ramshorn events and participate in information sessions and campus activities.
• Provide direct advising support to Ramshorn students and collaborate on events.
