  • Engage in long-term strategic planning
  • Define complex application development administration and programming standards
  • Oversee the support, maintenance, operation, and upgrades of applications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems
  • Review the physical design of existing systems for optimizing performance
  • Lead projects, as necessary, for special systems and application development in areas of complex problems
  • Work with other technical professionals to develop standards and implement best practices

Please Note: This is a Hybrid-eligible role; we will not consider remote candidates for this position. This role requires candidates to be on-site at Stanford's Redwood City Campus at least 2 days/week.

The Stanford University Student and HR Systems team is responsible for the support, maintenance, operations and upgrades of the HR and Student applications. Collaborating with the Technical Manager of Campus Solutions and HR Systems group within Enterprise Technology (ET), Senior Portal Developer will be applying a strong combination of technical skills. The developer will be responsible for executing all programming tasks, including programming, analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, modifying, and maintaining computer programs. You should have confirmed a track record of conceptualizing and developing enterprise wide information systems that meets user requirements and is secure, reliable, scalable, and extensible.
