The Youth Protection Program (YPP) was established in 2015 to create a safe environment for minors participating in sponsored university programs. The YPP provides educational training opportunities and best practices to ensure the safety of future Longhorns. Purpose

The University of Texas at Austin seeks a Senior Student Associate to support programs and policies. The Sr. Student Associate plays a key role in supporting the safety, compliance, and operational efficiency of youth programs across campus. This position works collaboratively with camp directors, student organizations, and program staff to ensure all activities involving minors meet institutional standards and best practices.

Responsibilities
  • Help with day-to-day functions of Youth Protection Program operations, including but not limited to:
  • Manage and maintain the Youth Protection Program email inbox, ensuring timely, accurate, and professional communication.
  • Communicate with camp directors and program staff, providing guidance, resources, and support.
  • Assist with student organization meetings by coordinating schedules, ensuring required documentation is submitted and reviewed, and attending campus drop-ins (weekend availability required).
  • Review compliance registration submissions and provide clear, constructive feedback to support program adherence to institutional policies.
  • Review and provide feedback on compliance registrations
  • Create, update, and maintain office documentation, internal records, forms, and website content
  • Monitor camper and staff interactions through the office communication platform
Current Qualifications

Salary Range $18.50/hour

Work Shift Flexible Schedule/Hybrid Work – Some weekend/after-hours work required. 10-19 hours/week
