Pay: $13.00 per hour

General Notes

Disability and Access (D&A) ensures students with disabilities have equal access to their academic experiences at the University of Texas at Austin by determining eligibility and approving reasonable accommodations. This position is only open to undergraduate students.

Purpose

Student associates assist D&A staff with clerical work, file management and test proctoring to ensure accommodation access to students with disabilities.

Responsibilities
  • Process documents in accommodations processes into database
  • Data entry and assist with data cleanup projects
  • Student file organization and processing
  • Assist with events and outreach, such as set-up/cleanup and managing event stations
  • Front desk reception including answering basic questions and receiving documents

Preferred Qualifications
  • At least one year of customer service experience
  • Experience with data entry
Salary Range

$13.00 per hour All students receive a $0.50-$1.00 increase at the start of each year from the start of their employment. Increase is dependent on quality and consistency of work.

Typical office environment Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation May occasionally need to lift up to 25 pounds

Work Shift

Up to 20 hours per week Hours will be completed onsite at the SSB during normal working hours, Monday – Friday, 8 am – 5 pm; occasional hours outside of 8 am – 5pm available This position will start in Fall 2026 with the possibility of continuing employment beyond the 2026-2027 academic year.
