Job summary

TYPSA, Inc. is seeking Structures Project Engineers for our Phoenix, AZ office. You will manage budgets, check design calculations, and oversee project plans while inspecting structures. The role requires PE licensure, strong communication, and extensive design experience.

Candidates should be proficient with software such as Open Bridge, MathCAD, RISA, LPile, MicroStation, and AutoCAD; Open Roads/Civil 3D are a plus. A valid driver’s license is required and DOT experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: BSCE or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of design experience for AZ role.
• P.E. registration required in the jurisdiction or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• DOT experience.
• Strong interpersonal, writing and communication skills.
• Ability to perform mathematical computations and design engineering projects.
• Proficiency with engineering tools including workstations and bridge software such as Open Bridge, MathCAD, RISA, LPile; skilled in MicroStation and AutoCAD.
• Open Roads and Civil 3D experience a plus.
• Valid Driver's License and insurability under company policy.

Responsibilities

• Manage budgets, discipline tasks, and track projects; ensure client deliverables.
• Prepare and check design calculations, quantities, cost estimates, and project plans.
• Conduct field assessment and inspection of structures and facilities.
• Be self-motivated, technically proficient, and team-oriented; communicate clearly.
