Job summary

TYPSA, Inc. in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Structures Designer/EIT-1 to assist with transportation and rail structures, developing designs and contract documents for projects.

The role requires a BSCE, an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate or ability to obtain within 6 months, and entry-level experience. Proficiency with AutoCAD or MicroStation and related tools is expected. Travel within Arizona and neighboring states is required.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) or related field.
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate or able to obtain within 6 months of hire.
Entry level experience in bridge/transportation and civil structures design.
Experience with design calculations, quantities, cost estimates and project plans.

Responsibilities

Assist senior design personnel in developing designs and contract documents for transportation and rail structures.
Prepare and check design calculations, quantities, cost estimates, and project plans.
Perform field assessment and inspection of structures and facilities as needed.
