Job summary

Boeing in North Charleston, South Carolina, seeks experienced Design Engineers to support interior payload systems across the product lifecycle. You will work with cross‑functional teams to develop requirements, run tests, and coordinate supplier activities to meet program goals.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and 2+ years in design, integration, and certification, with familiarity in aerospace interiors and FAA/EASA guidelines. Relocation may be offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical or Materials Sciences).
• 2+ years of engineering experience including design, integration, and/or certification.
• FAA Title 14 Part 25 and/or EASA experience is preferred.
• Experience in aerospace interiors, materials and properties, design criteria and release processes.
• Experience working in a cross‑functional team.
• Demonstrates good problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist to develop, integrate and document interior payload system requirements to establish system design.
• Assist the performance of tests to validate and verify systems meet requirements and specifications.
• Support management of supplier performance, test and production activities and coordinate with supplier to optimize design and meet program goals.
• Assist in development of new design/analysis processes and tools to improve development efficiency and quality.
• Support investigation of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs.
• Develop, maintain and modify interior payload system and component designs using 3D CAD tools and other methods to provide product definition to engineering groups and production teams throughout the lifecycle.
