Job summary

Amentum seeks a Structures and Mechanisms Engineer to support NASA GFP projects under the JETSII contract. You will perform risk-based structural analyses, inspect design data books, and verify test results to ensure readiness for lunar lander hardware.

Responsibilities include leading verification efforts, maintaining documentation, and coordinating with multiple teams to track progress and mitigate risks for GFP components. A strong background in FEA and aerospace structures is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering; 5–10 years related experience
• Familiarity with NASA/DoD/ASME standards is a plus

Responsibilities

• Perform risk based structural insight reviews of deliverables (design data books, stress analyses, verification plans)
• Map requirements traceability between HLS structural requirements and verification events
• Review provider compliance with HLS standards and assess traction for GFP structural readiness
• Develop and review FEMs/FEA results to validate load paths and structural margins
• Coordinate with NASA GFP provisioning teams and provide monthly readiness updates
