Qualifications

• BS/MS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in structural analysis.
• Background in turbomachinery preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses classical hand calculations along with finite element analyses to evaluate conceptual, preliminary, and final structural evaluation of turbomachinery components and assemblies.
• Ensures that structural analysis follows accepted methods, meets the appropriate internal and/or customer requirements, and is properly checked and documented.
• Supports field or production issues, such as root cause investigations and disposition of manufacturing nonconformances.
• Organizes and participates in technical round-table meetings with team members, discipline experts, and the Chief Engineer’s office.
• Communicates regularly with team leads, program managers, and customers to provide project technical and schedule status.
• Exercises sound engineering judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
• Other job duties as assigned.
