Job summary

Florida Turbine Technologies (FTT) in Jupiter, Florida, is seeking an experienced design engineer specialized in turbomachinery for aircraft propulsion systems. The role focuses on designing and analyzing electrical, mechanical, propulsion components and their integration within advanced turbine machinery.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in mechanical or aerospace engineering, strong CAD skills with Siemens NX, and a solid understanding of DFM and tolerance stacks.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• Experience using CAD software, especially Siemens NX.
• Knowledge of turbomachinery components (airfoils, disks, shafts).

Responsibilities

• Use CAD to design gas turbine/rotating machinery components.
• Conduct feasibility studies and testing on new/modified aircraft designs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design integrity from concept to development.
• Document changes through an engineering change notification process.
• Participate in design reviews and resolve complex analytical problems.
• Define test requirements and analyze data for engine builds and testing.
• Other duties as assigned.
