Job summary

Horrocks seeks a Structures Engineer in Las Vegas, NV to design and analyze vertical structures for urban heavy civil projects. You will prepare construction documents, perform structural calculations, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet local agency requirements.

Candidates should have a B.S. in Civil Engineering, 7–10 years of design experience, and PE licensure or ability to obtain within a year. Travel is <10% and the firm offers strong benefits and professional growth.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering required.
• 7–10 years of design experience required.
• PE licensure or ability to obtain within 1 year.
• Willingness to travel <10% for projects.
• Experience in multidisciplinary teams is a plus.
• Design Build/Alternative Delivery experience a plus.
• Established relationships with local DOTs are a plus.
• Solid understanding of vertical structure projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze vertical structures for site/civil projects.
• Prepare designs, structural calculations, costs estimates, and specs.
• Deliver PS&E documents within project budgets for local and federal agencies.
• Perform structural analysis using Enercalc, L-Pile, STAAD and Bentley software.
• Design and analyze foundations, walls, vaults, and storage structures for municipal and federal projects.
• Lead for smaller projects and coordinate staff and design efforts.
• Maintain client relationships and support regional firm presence.
