Job summary

TEKsystems in New Albany, OH is seeking an experienced telecom/structured cabling technician for a contract-to-hire role to install, test, service and decommission cabling systems including fiber and copper in data centers.

You will read project drawings, follow manufacturer guidelines, mentor teammates, and maintain a safe, organized work environment while meeting design intent and customer requirements. Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required depending on project needs.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of telecom/structured cabling experience (data center experience a strong plus).
• OSHA10 preferred (must obtain within 90 days).
• First Aid/CPR certification within 90 days.
• FOA certifications, BICSI cabling certifications, or similar credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, test, service, and decommission structured cabling systems including fiber, copper, and low voltage.
• Read project drawings and follow specifications to meet design intent.
• Mentor junior technicians and help plan materials and tasks.
• Maintain a safe, organized work area and adhere to safety standards.
