Job summary

Klover Prefab is seeking a Structural Fabrication Welder III to independently produce welds for prefab exterior and interior wall panels for commercial buildings and to mentor Welder I and II. The role requires reading shop drawings, selecting welding methods, measuring materials, panel layout, pre-assembly, and welding in various positions, with training and safety compliance emphasized.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years MIG welding experience, a high school diploma or GED, and active AWS D1.1

Qualifications

• Read and interpret shop drawings.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Mentor Welder I and Welder II as assigned by management.
• Current AWS D1.1 GMAW and/or SMAW certifications and ability to re-certify.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret shop drawings.
• Gather and collect materials.
• Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on specifications and shop drawings.
• Accurately measure and cut miscellaneous materials.
• Perform panel layout in accordance with drawings.
• Pre-assemble panel components in preparation for weld.
• Perform welds to ensure panel stays secured.
• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead).
• Mentor and coach Welder I and Welder II as assigned by management.
• Attend and complete welder and safety training as required by management.
• Maintain welding maintenance logs for welder certifications to remain current.
