Job summary

Creare in Hanover, New Hampshire seeks an experienced Structural & Thermal Analysis Engineer to perform detailed analytical and computational modeling of mechanical systems in complex thermal and structural environments.

The role collaborates with design, manufacturing, test, and project teams to evaluate performance, improve reliability, and guide engineering decisions throughout product development. Candidates should have aerospace/defense hardware experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Strong background in structural static/dynamic analysis and thermal transfer.
• Experience with aerospace or defense hardware analysis.
• Ability to validate models with hand calculations and test data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and convert CAD to FEA-ready models
• Perform structural, thermal, and coupled thermo-mechanical analyses
• Develop FEMs to evaluate stress, deformation, vibration, fatigue, and margins
• Conduct steady-state and transient thermal analyses
• Support design trade studies and optimization
• Interpret results and provide engineering recommendations
• Correlate predictions with lab or field tests
• Develop and validate hand calculations
• Participate in prototype development and testing
• Prepare technical reports and present findings
• Contribute to new technology development
