Job summary

Jefferson Lab is seeking a Senior Structural Systems Leader to oversee the Structural Systems group, guide engineers and technicians, and ensure projects meet schedule, budget, and quality goals.

You will manage system engineering and owner duties across civil, structural, and architectural domains, drive design standardization, and maintain configuration control while coordinating with Facilities Operations and external partners.

Qualifications

• Strong project management discipline and ability to lead teams
• Excellent communication and collaboration across diverse backgrounds
• Knowledge of construction and industrial safety/environmental practices
• Ability to manage multiple projects with clear timelines

Responsibilities

• Lead the Structural Systems group and provide direction to staff on work execution
• Perform quality control reviews and oversee project schedules
• Develop budgets, track expenses, and ensure timely invoicing
• Ensure subcontractor work meets safety and quality standards
• Review design documents and maintain design standards
