Job summary

Baltimore Aircoil Company, Inc. is seeking a Principal Engineer, Structural Systems to drive the structural integrity, qualification, and continuous improvement of BAC cooling tower and heat rejection products.

The role leads advanced structural engineering for new product introductions, product redesigns, testing, and product rating, while establishing standards and serving as a key technical resource to engineering, product management, manufacturing, sales, and leadership across the globe.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering and PE licensure.
• 12+ years in structural/mechanical engineering with product development experience.
• Experience with FEA tools and code-based design for HVAC/refrigeration structures.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural design for NPI and major product enhancements.
• Review and stamp structural calculations and drawings.
• Develop testing plans including wind/seismic and vibration tests.
• Coordinate global engineering efforts and standards.
• Drive cost- and manufacturability-focused structural improvements.
