Job summary

Tutor Perini Corporation in Honolulu seeks a Structural Superintendent to lead the HART project, overseeing on-site construction of elevated guideways and stations with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and schedule.

You will coordinate scheduling, subcontractors and field teams, ensure compliance with contract requirements and government standards, and provide technical guidance from drawings, methods, and equipment selections.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of construction experience.
• 10+ years as a superintendent on heavy civil projects.
• Experience on projects valued over $500M.
• Knowledge of U.S. construction methods and standards.
• Experience with City, State, and/or Federal Government Clients preferred.
• OSHA 500, CPR & First Aid Certifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise construction effort on elevated guideway structures to ensure project is constructed safely in accordance with design, budget and schedule.
• Assume responsibility for planning, coordinating and supervising onsite functions (scheduling, subcontractor coordination, etc.).
• Assume responsibility for compliance of craft workers and subcontractors with contract requirements, efficient use of materials & equipment, site safety plan and timely performance of the project schedule.
• Provide technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc., as required.
• Assist project management in developing, project schedule, site logistics plan and implementing project procedures, working documents, standards, etc.
• Support Site Specific Safety Plan.
• Coordinate with on-site Owner employees.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
