Job summary

IMIA, LLC is seeking a Superintendent - Structural to oversee all aspects of structural projects across marine workstreams. You will lead welding, fabrication, pipefitting, testing, and inspections, coordinating with shipyards and subcontractors to deliver on schedule and within budget.

The role requires at least 10 years in structural/steel fields, with prior management experience preferred. Travel and shift work are common, and safety programs are a core focus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years in structural/steel/mechanical field or fabrication/pipefitting.
• Prior management or supervisory experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and supervise all phases of assigned structural projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Monitor project progress and adjust resources to meet deadlines.
• Maintain records of timesheets, budgets, and project documentation.
• Communicate with shipyard management and internal stakeholders.
• Provide leadership, training, and performance feedback to team members.
• Coordinate subcontractors to ensure compliance with specs, timelines, and safety standards.
• Oversee welding and fitting operations for hull repairs, structural modifications, and new installations.
• Manage SHIPALTS and structural repairs to Navy, commercial, and other marine vessels.
• Align work with engineering drawings and OQE requirements for nuclear Navy projects.
