Job summary

Pacific Shipyards International is seeking an Assistant Pipefitter Superintendent to oversee daily structural operations, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget adherence. The role requires welding process knowledge, blueprint interpretation, and NAVSEA-related experience.

You will mentor foremen and coordinate with production and engineering teams to meet project goals. Experience in ship repair, varied welding types, and an understanding of NDT inspections are highly valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; reading blueprints essential.
• SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW experience required.
• NAVSEA regulations experience preferred; AWS/ABS/NAVSEA certs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Executes day-to-day operations within the structural department as directed by the Pipefitter Superintendent.
• Responsible for safety, quality, schedule, and budget of all assigned work.
• Estimates, calculates, and forecasts labor costs for projects.
• Provides project managers with accurate estimates for bid proposals.
• Leads and develops Foreman, Lead man, and production team members.
• Communicates with internal/external customers, contractors, and subcontractors to maintain relationships.
• Maintains adherence to safety policies per OSHA/HIOSH/ EPA.
