Job summary

Jobot is seeking a highly skilled Permanent Estimator for Structural Steel in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. You will prepare detailed estimates, analyze plans, and develop comprehensive bid proposals for steel projects.

The role requires strong mathematical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to read drawings. You will use Fabsuite, Fabtrol, and Tekla EPM, collaborating with project teams to ensure cost efficiency and accurate budgeting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of structural steel estimation experience in construction.
• Proficiency with Estimating Software and the listed tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing plans and specifications and performing quantity take-offs for select trades.
• Develop complete and accurate bid proposals for Structural Steel projects.
• Review and evaluate cost estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, and cost tracking reports.
• Interpret and explain contracts and technical information to other professionals.
• Use Fabsuite, Fabtrol, and Tekla EPM for data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Negotiate and liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to secure favorable terms.
• Stay updated with latest techniques and materials in construction and adjust estimation processes accordingly.
• Work with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure cost efficiency and accuracy.
