Job summary

Qualdoc is seeking a hands-on Structural Steel Paint & Shipping Supervisor in Cocoa, FL. The role coordinates paint, sandblasting, and steel loading activities within a structural steel fabrication facility, directing daily work, maintaining quality, preparing shipments, training staff, and ensuring safe, timely operations.

The position is full-time, first shift with potential 2nd shift oversight, located in Cocoa, FL.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in structural steel painting and/or loading operations.
• 2+ years in a team lead or supervisory role.
• Knowledge of industrial painting standards and quality control procedures.
• Experience training employees and managing daily assignments.
• Strong organizational skills and deadline management.
• Commitment to safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate painting, sandblasting, and loading to meet production schedules.
• Train new paint department employees and participate in interviews.
• Complete daily paint records and documentation.
• Verify calibration with gauges and testing equipment.
• Perform quality checks against project requirements and manufacturer specifications.
• Ensure load tickets are accurate and entered into systems.
• Train employees on shipping system procedures.
• Communicate with production, logistics, and management to meet delivery dates.
• Oversee overtime or weekend work.
• Identify process improvements for management.
• Enforce safety procedures and workplace policies.
