Job summary

Flowserve seeks an Engineer – Applied Structural Mechanical Analysis to perform structural, thermal and rotor dynamic analyses on pumps, valves and seals, ensuring designs meet applicable design requirements and ASME standards. The role supports R&D, product upgrades and order fulfillment from Raleigh, NC within a centralized global engineering services group.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 8–10 years of experience in applied structural mechanical analysis, specifically rotating equipment.
• Experience with ASME design standards and related codes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural, thermal and vibration analyses on pressure vessels and rotating equipment.
• Evaluate design modifications and their impact on structural integrity.
• Create design reports and compare FE results with ASME/code requirements.
• Lead technical aspects of R&D projects and product upgrades.
• Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders and present results.
