Job summary

Flowserve in Raleigh, North Carolina is seeking a Project Engineer to drive engineered orders from review through design, manufacturing, shipment, and after-sales support. You will lead cross-functional teams, review specifications, create designs and documentation, and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining quality.

A mechanical engineering degree and 3+ years' experience are required; FE/EIT preferred and CAD/CAE proficiency with SolidWorks/ANSYS, and familiarity with nuclear industry

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 3+ years of related experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet schedules.
  • Strong presentation and report writing skills.
  • Familiarity with industry codes and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage assigned customer orders through full project lifecycle.
  • Review customer specifications to recommend valve and component selections.
  • Create engineering designs and technical documentation to meet codes and project expectations.
  • Provide input for drawings, BOMs, QA plans, and test procedures.
  • Ensure deliverables are released on time to support production and shipment.
  • Interface with customers to clarify requirements and resolve questions.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing to address production challenges.
  • Support Field Service and resolve hardware issues.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and lean initiatives.
