Job summary

Flowserve US Inc is seeking an experienced Engineer in Applied Structural Mechanical Analysis to perform structural, thermal and vibration analyses on pressure vessels and rotating equipment across Flowserve product lines, including pumps, valves and seals. You will review customer specifications, execute FEA, and participate in design reviews with internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 8–10 years in applied structural

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 8–10 years of applied structural mechanical analysis experience, specifically rotating equipment.
  • Nuclear industry experience and customer‑oriented environment exposure.
  • Proficient in ANSYS/ABAQUSFinite element analysis and 3D modeling with SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

  • Perform structural, thermal and vibration analyses on pressure vessels and rotating equipment.
  • Evaluate design modifications and define critical dimensions.
  • Carry out FEA of machine components and supporting structures.
  • Review customer specifications and supplier quotations for technical acceptability.
  • Lead design reviews and communicate results to customers and stakeholders.
  • Prepare high-quality design reports in accordance with ASME sections and company procedures.
  • Coordinate structural engineering activities within project budgets and timelines.
