Job summary

PACO Group, Inc. is seeking a licensed Structural Engineer to support the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, DSU.

You will review structural/geotechnical design submissions, verify code compliance, and coordinate multidisciplinary reviews for tenant alterations and capital projects at Port Authority facilities. Requirements include a Civil Engineering degree with a structural focus, a NY/NJ PE license, and at least five years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a structural concentration or Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Licensed PE in New York and/or New Jersey is required.
• Minimum five years of diverse professional experience in building structural and geotechnical engineering.
• Strong understanding of codes, standards, and engineering review procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; capable of technical memoranda.

Responsibilities

• Review structural and geotechnical design submissions for code compliance.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary reviews with architectural, civil, mechanical, electrical, and fire protection teams.
• Assess foundations, loading, and geotechnical considerations for buildings and transportation facilities.
• Prepare clear, actionable review comments and formal technical memoranda.
• Maintain organized project review records and support timely processing of submissions.
