Job summary

ENGICON CM seeks an experienced structural engineer to perform technical reviews of educational facility plans and specifications. You will ensure compliance with District standards and coordinate with design teams across projects.

The role emphasizes contributions to design guides, policy updates, and high-quality documentation, with diverse district-wide collaboration and adherence to safety and building code requirements.

Qualifications

• Ten years of full-time professional structural engineering experience in planning, design, and construction of educational facilities.
• Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or related field.
• Additional qualifying experience may substitute for up to two years of education on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical review of structural plans and specs for construction projects.
• Provides review comments on adherence to District standards and design documentation.
• Contributes to District design guides, educational specifications, and standard drawings.
• Updates policies and guides to improve safety, quality, and cost efficiency.
• Coordinates activities with Design, A/E Technical Support, and other District units.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
