Job summary

Triangle DeCon Services Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer – QA/QC Technical Reviewer to support LAUSD's Facilities Services Division. You will review structural plans and documents for K-12 facilities to ensure compliance with District standards, codes, and constructability.

A valid California PE license is required, SE license preferred. Responsibilities include technical reviews, providing comments, and coordinating with architects, engineers, and owners.

Qualifications

• Ten (10) years of full-time professional experience in structural engineering planning, design and construction of educational facilities.
• Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or related field.
• Valid CA Professional Engineer license; SE license preferred.
• Experience reviewing structural plans, specifications, and construction documents for facilities.
• Knowledge of CBC, California Building Code, Cal Green Energy Code, OSHA, ASHRAE, and ASTM.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical review of proposed structural plans and specifications for construction projects.
• Provides review comments on adherence to District standards and quality of development and documentation.
• Supports Design Guidelines and School Design Guide with comments and lessons learned.
• Updates District policies and guides for school construction structural specifications.
• Coordinates activities with other units and District organizations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
