Job summary

Colliers Engineering & Design in Austin, TX is seeking a Structural Project Engineer to join our Structural Engineering team. You will lead complex structural design projects for buildings, foundations and earth retention structures, ensuring code compliance and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities include managing schedules and budgets, supervising engineers and interns, coordinating with architects and contractors, and delivering detailed drawings and analyses using industry software. P.E.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience required in building structural design.
• P.E. required.
• AutoCAD proficiency required.
• Proficient with structural design software such as RISA, RAM, TEKLA, TEDDS, SAFE, PROFIS.
• Knowledge of IBC, ASCE7, AISC360, ACI318, ACI 530 or NDS.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary point of contact for Principals and design team; attend meetings with Architects, Owners, and Contractors.
• Manage project schedule, activities, and budget.
• Supervise and manage Project Engineers, Graduate Engineers, and Interns.
• Review time and cost for projects and ensure accuracy in billing.
• Develop project phases, verify fees, and coordinate with the Structural Director on changes.
