Mackenzie Inc. is expanding its California presence with a Sacramento structural engineering leader who will guide a growing team and contribute to project execution and departmental growth.

The role requires a seasoned professional with 10–20 years of structural experience, strong knowledge of seismic design and building codes, and a collaborative approach to cross‑discipline delivery. Hybrid in-office schedule supports staff development and client engagement.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering required.
• 10–20 years of structural engineering experience.
• Advanced working knowledge of seismic design and building codes (ASCE 7, ASCE 41, ACI, AISC).
• Experience with OSHPD/HCAI projects preferred.
• Proven ability to lead and coordinate construction document packages for medium to large projects.
• Experience in project leadership and staff mentoring.
• Ability to collaborate across disciplines and drive unified delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural projects from concept through design and construction administration.
• Serve as structural lead and engineer of record on complex projects.
• Collaborate with Architects, MEP, and other teams.
• Perform gravity and lateral design calculations for diverse projects.
• Plan and mentor the structural design team; manage scope, schedule, and budgets.
• Support leadership in staffing, BD, and client engagement.
