Job summary

KPFF Consulting Engineers is seeking an experienced Structural Project Engineer to lead structural design for a diverse portfolio of commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects in our Sacramento office.

The role requires six+ years of experience, a PE license, and the ability to own projects from concept through construction while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with architects, MEPs, and contractors.

Qualifications

• Six or more years of relevant full-time structural engineering design experience.
• PE license.
• Ability to lead projects and teams independently while collaborating across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural analysis and design on projects of varying scale and complexity.
• Own development of structural drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and contractors to ensure project alignment.
• Review construction documents, shop drawings, and submittals for structural compliance.
• Manage construction administration and resolve on-site structural issues.
• Mentor junior engineers and Engineering Designers on the team.
• Support business development through proposals and client presentations.
