Job summary

Hixson Architecture, Engineering & Interiors seeks a Structural Project Engineer to design structural systems for large industrial and warehouse facilities, reporting to the Director of Civil, Structural, Environmental Health & Safety Engineering. This role blends technical precision with mentorship within a collaborative, values-driven culture.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis.
• Minimum 5+ years of structural design experience.
• Experience delivering structural construction documents in ACC and BIM environments (Revit).
• Proficient in designing structural steel, concrete, masonry, cold-formed framing, wood framing, and foundations.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the structural engineering portions of major projects across industrial, commercial, science + technology, and workplace sectors.
• Collaborate on design deliverables including data collection, design, specs, contract docs, shop drawings, and construction coordination.
• Coordinate with multi-discipline design teams to create buildable, innovative solutions.
• Mentor and provide technical support to junior engineers.
