Job summary

Hixson Architecture, Engineering & Interiors is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design electrical systems for industrial and commercial facilities in Cincinnati, OH. You will work with architects, engineers, and project managers on large-scale projects up to $500 million in value.

Reporting to the Manager of Electrical Engineering, the role emphasizes collaboration, technical growth, and a people-first culture with hybrid work options and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
• 2–5 years of experience in electrical design and/or the A/E consulting industry.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage priorities independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated initiative, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for industrial and commercial facilities.
• Design lighting and lighting control systems.
• Design low- and medium-voltage power distribution systems.
• Prepare engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Select electrical materials, equipment, and design methods.
• Support development of control systems for mechanical and refrigeration systems.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers throughout the design process.
