Job summary

Design Hire LLC in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead structural design for industrial, manufacturing, and high-tech facility projects. You will collaborate across disciplines and interface directly with clients on complex equipment support projects.

Responsibilities include designing steel systems, evaluating existing structures, preparing calculations and drawings, coordinating with mechanical/electrical teams, and supporting construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 7+ years of structural engineering design experience.
• Strong knowledge of structural steel design, reinforced concrete design, seismic design, and building codes (IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI).
• PE or SE license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design structural steel systems for industrial facilities, including equipment supports and seismic bracing.
• Evaluate existing structures and develop reinforcement solutions.
• Prepare structural calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Coordinate designs with mechanical, electrical, process, and other disciplines.
• Participate in client meetings and design reviews.
• Provide engineering support during construction.
