Job summary

HNTB's Lake Mary office is seeking a Senior Project Engineer for the structures group to lead infrastructure projects across Central and East Florida, including bridges, retaining walls, and box culverts. The role emphasizes technical leadership, mentoring, and coordination with clients and partners on multi‑discipline projects.

You will manage scope, budget, and schedule while contributing to proposals and marketing efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 8 years of relevant experience
• Master’s degree in Engineering with 7 years of relevant experience
• PhD in Engineering with 6 years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Apply senior-level technical expertise to a broad range of engineering solutions.
• Lead discipline-specific planning, work distribution, and leadership and adherence to the schedule and budget on complex projects.
• Assist in marketing responsibilities, including proposal generation.
• Develop scope of work and level of effort and manage adherence to scope and budget on complex projects.
• Oversee completeness and accuracy of project team’s work within the technical discipline.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members to achieve project objectives.
• Coordinate technical aspects with client counterparts and teaming partners for work within the discipline.
• Lead discipline delivery on larger, multi-disciplinary projects.
• Work closely with other disciplines on multi-disciplinary projects.
• Plan schedules and distribution of work for other disciplines on complex projects.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
