Job summary

TechniPower, Inc. is seeking a Senior Structural Project Engineer in the York area to lead design of structural systems for transport, live and seismic loads.

The role requires on-site presence and long-term collaboration with a client in the manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, 6+ years of leadership experience, and proficiency with AutoCAD and 3D CAD (Inventor or SolidWorks).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
• 6+ years leading or supervising engineering teams.
• Experience with AutoCAD and 3D CAD (Inventor or SolidWorks).
• Review structural designs for UFC, IBC, ANSI, ASCE compliance.
• Lead kickoff meetings and participate in design reviews with customers.
• Prepare and update task lists; track schedules and budgets.
• Provide technical input to the CAD design team and resolve cross‑department issues.

Job description

I have a client located in the York area that has an opportunity for a Senior Structural Project Engineer.

In this role, you will be working as a Senior Structural Project Engineer for a client in the manufacturing industry. This position will be responsible for design of structural systems to account for transport, live and seismic loads.

This position is a contract to possible hire role that is a long term need for my client. This role must be worked on-site.

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Mechanical Engineering Technology
• 6+ years of experience as a team lead or supervisor
• Experience with AutoCAD and 3D CAD (Inventor or Solidworks)
• Review structural designs for compliance to codes (UFC, IBC, ANSI, ASCE)
• Attend job kick off meetings and participate in design reviews with customers
• Prepare and update task lists
• Track schedules and budgets
• Provide technical input to the CAD design tea,
• Interface with other department to resolve technical issues
