Job summary

Keystone Distinction Group seeks a Senior Structural Engineer/Designer to lead complex building projects across manufacturing, data center, commercial and historic restoration sectors. The role emphasizes design leadership, client interaction, and coordination with architects and contractors.

You will prepare calculations, review construction documents, and oversee junior staff while applying codes across jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of structural engineering experience.
• Professional license is required.

Responsibilities

• Designing structural systems for a variety of project types including manufacturing, distribution, data center, commercial, self-storage, and more.
• Interact with clients, attend meetings with clients, architects and contractors, review structural documentation.
• Prepare design calculations and manage construction documents, review shop drawings and submittals, perform site reviews and prepare RFIs.
• Coordinate information across disciplines to ensure deliverables meet client expectations and quality levels.
• Provide supervision and mentoring to junior staff; project management across multiple projects and deadlines.

Senior Structural Engineer/Designer

Responsibilities/Project Types/Experience Required

• Designing structural systems for a variety of project types, including manufacturing, distribution, data center, commercial, self-storage, churches, historical, public sector, retail, adaptive reuse, and renovations, and existing facility analysis.
• Interacting with clients, attending client, architect and contractor meetings, reviewing structural documentation, managing and supervising/mentoring junior staff.
• Preparing design calculations and managing the preparation of the construction documents, reviewing shop drawings and submittals, performing site reviews and preparing RFI responses.
• Coordinating information across all disciplines to ensure deliverables are compliant with client expectations and co. quality levels.
• Experience should include wood, steel, load-bearing light gage steel, concrete, post-tensioned concrete, and masonry design in low to mid-rise structures.
• Shallow and deep foundation system design experience required.
• 10 plus years’ minimum experience in structural engineering.
• Must be a self-starter and always willing to listen, learn and improve.
• Professional license is required.
• Seismic experience is required.
• Ability to identify applicable codes in project-specific jurisdictions and apply to the project.
• Working knowledge of Revit is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, manage multiple projects, tasks and deadlines, and bring each to completion.
• Experience with industry standard software, including but not limited to Microsoft products, Bentley (RAM) products, RISA, EnerCalc, Adapt, etc.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written are required.
• Project management experience/ability is required.
• Must demonstrate team leadership ability.
