Job summary

ICON Technology Group seeks a Staff Structural Engineer to own structural engineering as a product development discipline, translating deep expertise into requirements, rulesets, and resources that make ICON's building products designable and scalable.

You will serve as the primary structural product development authority, guiding design standards, calculations, and documentation, and aligning work with building codes (ACI, ASCE, TMS).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 12+ years of structural engineering experience; 8+ years with a Master's.
• Strong command of ACI, ASCE, and TMS design codes.
• Experience working across multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as ICON's primary structural authority for Building Products and Systems.
• Develop and evolve structural requirements, standards, and calculations.
• Provide technical input to product teams, Divisions, and partners.
• Ensure code compliance and proper testing scope for product requirements.
• Maintain structured workplans using Jira and surface risks early.
• Translate field conditions into product development requirements.
