Job summary
Manay CPA, a global leader in industrial engineering and manufacturing, seeks an experienced Structural Professional Engineer (PE) in New York to lead steel connection design for a major new project. You will be the PE of record for calculations, shop drawings, and documentation, coordinating with the EOR, client, general contractor, fabricator, and detailers.
You should have 15+ years in structural engineering, 10+ years in steel design, and a track record on large industrial facilities.
Qualifications
- 15 years of structural engineering experience
- 10 years of structural steel design experience
- Experience on large industrial, semiconductor, data center, or manufacturing facility projects
- Familiarity with BIM workflows and using Tekla Structures
Responsibilities
- Serve as Structural PE for all structural steel engineering activities
- Review and approve structural steel connection designs, calculations, shop drawings, and documents
- Coordinate with EOR, client, general contractor, fabricator, design subcontractor, and detailers
- Review Tekla models and shop drawings for engineering compliance
- Resolve RFIs and technical queries related to structural steel
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes and project specifications
- Support fabrication and construction teams with practical engineering solutions
- Review temporary condition calculations and participate in coordination meetings
